Two more Interactive Show projects
Nick Brewer is bringing two projects to this year’s Interactive Show, a suitcase photo booth and a tiny arcade cabinet.
I tend to draw inspiration from taking new technology (usually Raspberry Pi’s) and installing it into old/unusual places. The photo booth is actually built out of a suitcase I found in a rural Michigan thrift store, and the portable arcade is designed to look like a nice jewelry box, but with a full game system inside.
More pictures and technical details after the break.

Photo Booth
When ready, the photo booth will take four photos, combine those into a gif and two film strips. The film strips are printed in the back of the suitcase, and all the files are saved to a flash drive. It can be modified to automatically upload to tumblr and twitter, but this greatly increases the amount of time for the next photo set to be started.
