Experience Cari Ann Shim Sham’s “Shimmer | small anemone” at the Interactive Show coming up June 10!
Shimmer the singing sea anemone is an immersive inflatable dance, sound & fiber optic light interactive installation that tells the story of climate change and rising sea temperature’s impact upon the ocean. The small anemone exhibited at NYC Resistor is puppeted from the inside, people can enter into it and move the anemone, and also interact with people outside. Fiber optic lights creep out from underneath, and motion based sensors trigger the voices of the anemones, which giggle, squeel, and sing to their audience.
